The Apple Market grocery store donated 2,000 pounds of bacon to the event.

Tracy Gillespie, 42, tries to eat as much bacon as he can during the bacon-eating contest. “To prepare I watched Top Gun, the Rocky movies, and ate a big meal to stretch out the bell, and earlier I did a little running.” Gillespie said. Gillespie won second place.
